General Mills is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join the Supply Chain Division Legal Team. The work is challenging and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a high-caliber, collegial department with other dedi! cated legal professionals on a wide variety of legal matters. The position also offers the opportunity to work with some of General Mills’ most well-known brands and features direct contact with business clients and our North American manufacturing operations.
In this role you will:
- Assist attorneys and business clients in General Mills’ Supply Chain Division with contract drafting and negotiations, regulatory issues and general business/legal questions.
- Litigation/discovery issues may be a portion of the position
- 4-year degree and/or ABA accredited Paralegal Certification with 5+ years paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word and Power Point, SharePoint a plus)
- Significant experience in drafting legal documents, contracts, and complex agreements. Experience with ! Supply Chain operations and manufacturing is helpful, but not ! required.
- Superior communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Excellent organizational, self-motivation, prioritization, and time management skills
- Able to recognize and quickly synthesize legal issues proactively, uses good judgment in evaluating complex matters
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and technologically efficient
- Strong interpersonal skills - comfortable with interacting with all members of the Law Department as well as a variety of non-legal business clients
- Able to work collaboratively with a variety of different functions (e.g. manufacturing, finance, research and development, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
