Selectchemie is our customers’ partner from the idea to the market – from project selection for API and Finished Dosage Forms products (FDF), API process and FDF dossier development through strategic sourcing and regulatory affairs to marketing and supply. As a strategic partner for API supplies we estab- lish reliable sources and even develop our own API manufacturing IP for our global customer base, and as an FDF dossier house we develop medicinal products, which we out-license to our global clientele based on license and supply agreements (LSAs).

Both the portfolio development and the dossier out-licensing are the backbone of our future business.

Aufgaben

Business analysis

  • You summarize a projects business potential into a consolidated decision paper including business case and additional key information as a basis for board of directors’ approval.
  • You develop a thorough understanding of the selected project ideas (molecule) by evaluating med- ical use, IP situation, competitive situation (molecules, companies) and market potential (forecast- ing, pricing, costing, supply chain set-up, partnership, options).
  • You are able to obtain the necessary IP and technical information as well as API supply and pric- ing information from internal stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • You create market overviews to support our out-licensing and sales teams for effective go to mar- ket strategies.
Business setup

  • You suggest options for the individual project set-up incl. stakeholders, partners to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • You build a network with CDMOs that may be used for individual projects.
  • With the support from your technical team, you request quotations for FDF development work.
  • You negotiate initial proposals from CDMOs and API suppliers in order to make sure that the busi- ness cases can fly.
  • You identify a co-financing partner for a project and negotiate terms for collaboration.
  • You put together a preliminary business setup with a co-financing partner, an API supplier, and a CDMO that allow to present a workable business case. The business setup and the corresponding business case will be the prerequisites to apply for project approval by Selectchemie’s board of di- rectors.
  • Occasional business trips, sometimes at short notice, up to 10 %.
Qualifikation

  • You have a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or Pharmacy, preferably combined with Business administration.
  • You have several years of experience with market research and business analysis.
  • You have several years of experience with sales and/or out-licensing, ideally of generic drug products.
  • You have strong communication skills and like to build your own network with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in English, German is of great benefit.
