The Legal Product Development team is
looking for a Product Developer. Strong candidates will know how to
collaborate with all project team members and project stakeholders to ensure
the development of consistent, effective products. Successful candidates
can interact with other team members and wider cross-functional team
(technology, editorial operations and marketing). They also have the
ability to build consensus between technology, quality and business groups and
justify product decisions

Key
New Product
Development is seeking a Product Developer to join its organization. The main
responsibilities of the position include:
Support
of the development process for attorney-centric products including design and
feature functionality of new and enhanced products and solutions.
Assisting
in the preparation of business cases for new content and features and
enhancements including analyzing projected revenue and development costs
Participating
in cross-functional teams developing new content, features and enhancements
Making
presentations on new features and enhancements to internal and external
audiences
Monitoring
and managing project tasks, project status updates and periodic communication
to Management. Maintain proper level of documentation necessary to assess
project status; ensure satisfaction and quality with project deliverables
Gathering
pertinent information from technology areas for specific program(s) to assess
cost and time estimates. Assist with project planning; work with department
managers on resource allocation and assist team and other resources to
accomplish the project tasks

Qualifications
Qualifications:
4-year
college degree required
J.D
or M.B.A preferred
Knowledge
of Westlaw, WestlawNext and other electronic legal information resources
Familiarity
with e-discovery solutions and other attorney workflow related products are a
plus
Familiarity
with West, Lexis and Bloomberg products
Strong
working knowledge of technology and/or online electronic publishing.
Product
development and/or product management experience are a plus.
Ability
to work in cross-functional teams, including programmers, marketing, finance
and content operations
Ability
to multi-task in a quickly cha! nging environment
Strong
oral and written communication skills
Occasional
travel is required
Knowledge
& Experience:
Must
be an effective advocate for the user and be able to successfully drive
implementation of feature-sets and interactions that provide an excellent
customer experience.
Confidence
in working with strong, passionate, fast-paced team environment.
Must
know how to turn user research and usability feedback into easy to use
solutions.
