State Auto Insurance Company, a ninety-two-year-old, super-regional property and casualty insurer, seeks a staff attorney for its House Counsel o! ffice in Minneapolis. This position reports directly to the Supervising Attorney of the Minneapolis office. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
Candidates must be licensed to practice in Minnesota, in good standing, with three or more years of experience in insurance defense litigation, preferably with first chair trial experience. Candidates must be capable of taking a case from referral through pleadings, discovery, depositions and trial, while communicating clearly with clients and claims personnel. Previous defense of auto, premises, construction, and workers comp suits will be especially valued.
