Regulatory Attorney The candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of state and federal regulatory tasks including:! daily monitoring of government agency and news sources for applicable regulatory changes; drafting concise summaries of applicable regulatory changes and communicating the information to affected stakeholders across the Bank; conducting state and federal regulatory research on a wide variety of banking law topics, and; answering questions of legal interpretation regarding banking statutes/regulations for members of the Legal Department, Corporate Compliance and the Business Lines.
The candidate should have 3 - 5 years of experience working in the financial services industry and a record of excellent academic achievement. Must have in-depth knowledge of the agencies that regulate a national bank. Should have the ability to clearly articulate changes to banking law to members of various departments across a national bank; substantial experience in using legal technology to research banking statutes/regulations and the Federal Register; and demonstrated superior atte! ntion to detail and critical thinking.
