FindLaw,
a Thomson Reuters business is seeking its next executive leader to run our
Sales division. In this role as VP of Sales
of FindLaw, you would be responsible for ! all strategic and operational aspects
leading a large organization, including:
creating a dynamic sales strategy that aligns with our future vision, leading
and inspiring large teams and attaining or exceeding sales and revenue goals to
maximize current and future growth of our FindLaw business.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:!
Develop overall short and long term strategy and
vision to insure that the channel meets and exceeds all assigned sales and
revenue goals.
Build
strategic long-term client relationships that perpetuate a
customer-centric solutions consultative approach
Lead the division in developing processes to
forecast and monitor all necessary financial information including new
sales, new business opportunities, renewal revenue by medium. Develop sales
objectives and manage the development of account plans that consistently
and accurately forecast quarterly and annual revenue streams.
Builds strategic relationships with key business partners
within FindLaw (e.g., Marketing, Product Development, Account Management,
Operations, Finance, Human Resources) and the rest of the organization.
Manages the performance of direct reports and
provides them development opportunities.
Guides direct reports and ot! her management on effective performance
management, employee develo! pment and resolution of employee relations
issues. Serve as a leader and mentor to direct
reports in solutions selling, c-level relationship development and client
service.
Design a clear operational strategy that helps
position the Sales organization to meet or exceed financial goals,
resource utilization goals, and training and development goals.
Provide inspirational leadership and serve as a
change management agent for all employees by actively communicating

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience Undergraduate degree
required. Graduate degree
preferred.
15-20 years of related
experience, including proven, solid customer relationships
10-15 years of executive level
experience in a successful sales role in a strategic or national accounts
environment with Fortune 1000 companies
Experience leading and inspiring
large teams successfully through change
Experience in the internet
marketing solutions, industry preferred
Demonstrated experience managing
a field sales organization working with a varied customer base.
Experience developing and
executing national program strategies
General
management experience including P/L responsibility
Knowledge and Skills Outst! anding executive level
leadership ability demonstrated by directing! high performing teams to
exceed their goals in a complex selling environment with Fortune 500 or
similar entities
Ability to lead sophisticated
teams of high performers
Understanding of internet
marketing solutions needs of small law firms
Ability to focus on and
understand customer needs in a dynamic and complex environment
Outstanding solutions sales and
negotiation skills, particularly with online or internet based products
and services
Outstanding high-level
presentation and communication skills
Strong
understanding of field and management, processes and strategies In depth knowledge of
current sales technology and insight into future applications
Strong strategic
thinking skills and sense of urgency to positively impact business results
Strong sales process and operations
skill set, including sales training, compensation plan design,
administration and sales support
