Vice President Global Technology Sourcing - Corporate Group The candidate will assist in developing, implementing and / or exec! uting a sourcing and procurement category strategies aligned with the Technology Sourcing groups objectives. Will provide guidance and/or lead major negotiations and large sourcing engagements including process activities such as e-sourcing, RFX, Project management, etc. as assigned. Make recommendations and/or provide effective input to stakeholder financial goals and/or plans as it relates to assigned sourcing assignments. Continuously manage team priorities effectively, focusing on efficient work results. Ensure priorities are handled effectively by modifying plans and actions in your own area of accountability. Manage projects against a plan and objectives to ensure commitments are met by monitoring, assessing, and resolving variances in budget, timing or quality of work. Monitor and keep up to date with related category supplier specific business activities as well as the extended category industry. Present/update all pertinent supplier and/or industry issues to stakeh! olders and immediate management and propose recommendations as! they apply to existing strategies. Develop and foster key relationships with senior members of the technology community across the globe while informing and promoting the Technology Sourcing process. Maintain relationships (internal and supply market) in all firm geographies where technical operations or development activities are performed. Meet and influence senior stakeholders to build and win internal support on projects and initiatives. Capable of managing communications to leadership teams within the CIO and CTO organizations. Maintain effective communications with Sourcing Managers in all regions. Meet regularly with stakeholders to present current and planned sourcing strategies to maintain alignment with the business objectives.
The candidate should have a Bachelor s degree. A J.D. degree preferred. Membership with ISM, CIPS or equivalent preferred. Must have 12+ years of sourcing and procurement experience. Experience of leading major negotiations in the! Technology categories essential. Experience of leading large scale or enterprise sourcing activities needed. Experience in evaluating off shoring, smart sourcing, and 3rd party development engagements essential. Experience of implementing a category strategy in the technical supply chain arena needed. Experience of managing addressable spend figures exceeding $200M essential. Experience of managing in a global, matrixed environment needed. Experience of managing activity with major technology suppliers such as Microsoft, IBM, HP, Verizon, Cisco, etc essential. Extensive experience of initiating, developing and executing market leading sourcing strategies and their implementation essential. Significant IT architecture / technology planning experience and business operations experience needed. Excellent influencing skills and experience of managing multiple and diverse stakeholder groups in a major complex organization needed. Clear understanding of Blue Chip Supplier Market! required. A broad understanding of sourcing trends and their commercia! l application required. Wide ranging knowledge of technology information systems infrastructure and use, i.e. servers, storage, software, networks, data centers, personal computing and key suppliers in these areas required.
