Counsel III The candidate will provide substantive legal advice to the Bank and the principal subsidiaries on matters related to treasury management services and laws/regulations related to commercial deposits and domestic and international payments systems. Specific responsibilities within these areas of specialization include: providing support to Bank with respect to Treasury Management services and payments, product development; performing legal research, assisting senior leaders with planning/policy setting, drafti! ng/reviewing policies and procedures, advising clients regardi! ng new and modified products and services and emerging payments systems, marketing reviews, drafting/reviewing/negotiating contracts, evaluating the impact of changes in laws/regulations.
The candidate should have a J.D. degree and State Bar membership. Must have 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. Should have legal experience supporting treasury management services, commercial deposits and payment systems (e.g. Fedwire, CHIPS, and SWIFT). Legal experience in financial services, an in-depth knowledge of foreign payments rules and guidance, and a knowledge of emerging payments systems preferred. A basic knowledge of foreign exchange transactions, SEPA and the Payment Services Directive is highly desired. A proven record of working with domestic and foreign bank regulators is also a plus. Should have a willingness for some travel and to work as needed outside normal work hours to accommodate the needs of clients located in a foreign office. Application D! eadline: December 6, 2013.
