U.S. Bank is seeking a transactional attorney to join its in-house legal team and support the Bank’s Procurement division. Ideal candidates will have 3 â€" 5 years of sophisticated corporate transaction and contract experience at a law firm or in-house. Duties related to this position include negotiating and drafting commercial agreements with vendors, partners, and clients; assisting with resolution of disputes; enforcing contract and regulatory compliance; and providing risk assessments and consulting with business line managers on a wide variety of credit, product and operational issues affecting their electronic payments and funds transfer businesses. Familiarity with legal and regulatory matters relating to retail banking, payment networks, electronic commerce, and/or software is desirable. Candidates m! ust have a J.D., strong academic credentials, excellent commun! ication skills, a strong commitment to client service, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Law degree
- Licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association or other appropriate state attorney licensing authority
- Three to five years of sophisticated corporate transaction and contract experience at a law firm or in-house
- Thorough and current knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the subject matter and/or business line supported by the attorney
- Effective public speaking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
