Our Performing Servicing team focuses on the customer and strives for operational excellence in servicing mortgage loans and home equity products for our customers.

The Lien Release Department is responsible for providing superior service to our customers, investors and agencies through the completion of all tasks related to the release of the collateral/security interest after the payoff of the mortgage loan. This position will be responsible for fairly routine general clerical tasks that require basic research or problem solving skills.

Functions include:

  • reviewing loan disbursement requests
  • processing disbursements
  • preparing loan demands and reconveyances!
  • maintaining loan and disbursement files
  • responding to routine customer inquiries
  • coding and renewal processing
  • preparing and submitting documents, data and records according to department procedures and government regulations
  • handling payments for hazard insurance premiums, property taxes and other special transactions.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Prepare mortgage loan release documents and required cover letters.
  • Retrieve necessary information when the custodial file or images do not contain all required information for the completion of the lien release.
  • Request and verify accuracy of recording fee checks.
  • Research and respond to inquiries received from borrowers, 3rd parties, attorneys, or authorized lenders.
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with county offices, title companies, custodians, service vendor! s and other departments critical to the achieving objectives.
  • ! Maintain accurate production tracking records.
Basic Qualifications

6+ months administrative experience or interacting with customers/people.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with team members.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous mortgage servicing, banking, finance and/or re! al estate industry experience.
  • Previous Lien Release experience.
  • Knowledge of Fidelity/CPI/LIS/LPS/MSP, Rekon2000 and/or Reslog systems.
  • Experience with the Lock/unlocks and the recession process.
  • Knowledge of the Nevada Payoff Quote process.
  • Previous experience dealing with county recording offices.
