We are looking for a talented, highly motivatedSof! tware Quality Assurance Analystto work in a
fast-paced, energetic environment. As a
Software Quality Assurance Analyst at FindLaw, you will be a member of a global
team that is responsible for software quality testing, which includes Data
Quality, on a variety of applications.
Your primary responsibilities will be to participate in test planning
for assigned projects, as well as execute on the plan.

Key Responsibilities
Test Planning (25%):
- Actively participates in business and technical requirement gathering
meetings
- Reviews business requirements, technical requirements and design
- May assist in the estimation process for project work effort
- Provides input into the creation of Test Plan/Strategy document
- May partner with the business and BA to determine use cases for project
- Prepare SQL queries to test requirements appropriately
- Creates high level test scenarios
- Creates low level detailed test cases (from high level test scenarios)
- Builds and executes regression suite (both manual and automated scripts)
- ! Perform Data Quality testing against Oracle databases
- Perform ! Data Quality testing against ETL tools (Informatica)
- Executes functional (UI) testing
- Logs defects and works directly with Dev team on issue resolution
- May develop software tools to test applications
- Provides testing status to project team as defined
- Proactively escalates issues as needed to PM/Lead
- Provides input in regards to GO/NO meeting
- Actively participates in project retrospective meeting
- Recommends process improvements
- May participate in the implementation of process improvements
- Adopts use of best practices (templates, tools, etc)
- Participates and/or presents at monthly knowledge sharing sessions
- Stays current with industry trends
Qualifications:
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2-3 years of software testing and/or
- Proven experience in test planning and test
- Experience with JAVA, SQL and writing
- Knowledge of HP Quality Center, Quick Test
- Knowledge of JIRA or other bug tracking tools
- Knowledge of FindLaw systems would be a
- Knowledge of Software Development Life
- Experience working across multiple
- Ability to work under tight schedule with high stress
- Good inter-team communication with the ability to
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Able to balance and prioritize multiple
- Ability and desire to learn new
- Must be motivated; a self-starter, results
