Description
3M's legal team has an exciting opportunity for a paralegal to support the company's health care businesses. Position is located in Maplewood, MN. The paralegal will provide division support:
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Draft, negotiate and finalize contracts for the company’s various heath care businesses
- Assist attorneys with providing counsel and developing processes in connection with company’s health care businesses in a variety of areas
- Review marketing programs, advertising, packaging and related materials for compliance with FDA labeling and the company’s policies
- Perform legal/factual research on a host of federal and state legal issues including, but not limited to FDA regulatory matters, state regulatory matters, sales and marketing practices, general compliance, state reporting and disclosure requirements, etc.
- Act! as direct contact for and interact with business clients, out! side counsel, and international colleagues
- Perform litigation and claims-related activities as needed
- Must possess strong command of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, to manage multiple projects and to establish priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, vendors and contractor
- Other duties as assigned
You will be required to submit a writing sample as part of the assessment process.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Paralegal/legal assistant certification from an ABA-approved program
- Bachelor's degree (or actively pursuing same) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years paralegal experience
Preferred Qualificati! ons:
- Strong written/oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- FDA regulatory experience
- Claims/litigation experience
- In-house corporate paralegal experience preferred
