Kelly Scientific Resources currently has a 10 week opportunity as a Temporary Risk Management Specialist available at a well known company in the Twin Cities. This posiiton is 30 hours! per week starting early April. Responsibilities Include: · Coordinating of company-wide property, liability, workers compensation, and other casualty claims; · Develops and directs the implementation of claims management programs and procedures which conform to company s core values, to assure the effective control, monitoring, and analysis of claims, including workers compensation/general liability claims; to ensure proper medical treatment, control of costs, vendor management, including claims and attorney services, the implementation effective return to work strategies and provide training and support company team members. · Develop, implement and maintain programs to ensure the proper and efficient handling of Workers Compensation, General Liability and Property Damage claims, gathering data on claims for both record keeping and risk forecasting purposes, and estimating the financial value of claims. · Monitor claim data for risk trends and provide technical expert! ise on accident prevention to drive down cost. · Provide dire! ct oversight, direction, and monitoring of claim handling strategy ie, including claim settlement authority on company claims, including but not limited to all larger claims. · Provide internal consulting services throughout the company related to the pro-active and effective management of claims. Communicates with employees, managers, adjusters, attorneys, case managers, and medical providers as needed to achieve successful resolution of claims. · Develops and maintains Claim Handling Procedures and Standards and other related Risk Management programs. Manage all compliance-related aspects of the Ohio and North Dakota self-insured workers compensation program. · Manage various post-injury/incident programs Light Duty/Return to Work, to include Team Member and management training programs, claim reporting procedures and any additional information or materials required for such; produce and distribute claim tracking reports and claim analysis reports. Education/Training/E! xperience: · BA/BS Degree from accredited college/university or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5-7 years loss control, safety administration or claims experience preferred. Multi-state experience is highly desirable. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail. · Possess proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet skills. · Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests desired. Capable of working in a fast pace environment, reacting appropriately to crisis situations, organizing and balancing multiple tasks required. · Self motivated and demonstrates the ability to drive a project through to completion. · Demonstrate success in bringing problems to an effective resolution with a shared since of urgency. · Strong analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze data and trends: ability to draw conc! lusions and make recommendations.
