For detail informations about this career opportunity kindly read the description below. We are looking for a candidate to fill our clerkship position. Clerks should be able to work an average of 20 hours per week, however there is flexibility in work s! chedules/hours (seasonal tax times are mid January-April 15 and Mid August-Mid October). Clerks will gain first-hand experience with clients, attorneys, accountants and working on compliance issues with the IRS.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Preparation of individual and business tax returns
Researching complex issues using a variety of mediums including the Internal Revenue Code, Revenue Rulings, Treasury Regulations, and case law
Corresponding with the IRS on tax disputes, substantiation requirements, and general inquiries
Using tax research to develop and verify tax projection planning
Contributing to internal firm meetings in the discussion of current and future tax law changes
Interact with Firm leadership and clients to address client needs
QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a JD - 2L preferred, 3L with accounting undergraduate experience will also be considered
CPA eligible preferred
