Instructional Designer
We are looking for an Instructional Designer to design and develop learning and practicing experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
Develops and designs courses and curriculum.
Edits and develops online learning materials.
Creates learning experiences and environments.
Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.
Manages online learning communities.
Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.
Trains instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologies.
Facilitates discussion and collaboration via social media.
Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
Requirements and skills
At least a Bachelor degree in instructional design, educational technology or a related area
Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
Demonstrated strong record of instructional design for at least 3 years in a tertiary environment
In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
