Data Protection Steward [Australia]


 

Data is one of the five building blocks of ING’s “Accelerated Think Forward” strategy and COO vision to become the Next Generation Digital Bank on the road of transformation.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Data Steward to support and execute data protection and privacy activities for Tribes. You’ll have in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of the development, recommendation and implementation of cost-effective frameworks and policies (controls) to minimize the organization’s risks.

You’ll be the key pillar within the DPE office to ensure sustainable data protection practices leading to well defined, consistent and high quality data that aligns to our purpose of keeping our customer’s personal data safe and avoid any data breaches preventatively.

What you’ll do…

  • Educate data owners on GDPR principles.
  • Manage data retention and deletion.
  • Support the execution of data management activities including the data councils.
  • Ensure compliance with policy and procedure documents.

What we’re looking for…

  • Strong engineering background, preferably with experience in building and maintaining databases.
  • Good experience Data Governance, Protection and privacy in MS SQL Server.
  • Experience in data Modelling and data Analysis.
  • Knowledge of risk management techniques and risk related regulations.
  • Exposure in Tableau or related reporting skills.
