Program Lead Compliance and Regulation Affairs The candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate cross-departmental regulatory compliance projects to address foundational and intricate compliance issues. This includes the successful delivery of complex projects and assignments within scope, schedule, and quality commitments. Will work closely with business partners across the organization to assure compliance with federal and state legal and regulatory requirements by performing compliance risk assessments, gathering data, p! roviding analysis, developing processes and documentation, tes! ting compliance, and reporting through the appropriate channels. Responsible for leading several cross-functional activities simultaneously to solve complex regulatory compliance problems, risk mitigation and issue resolution. Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs leadership in strategic planning and execution. Collaborate with Director of Regulatory and Corporate Compliance and other Regulatory Compliance leadership to design and implement practices, processes, and tools that further the Ethics and Compliance Program Vision. Plan, direct, and coordinate projects associated with the department s regulatory compliance strategy. Partnering with business owners to assure compliance with federal and state legal and regulatory requirements by gathering data, providing analysis, developing processes, performing risk assessments, developing documentation, testing compliance, and reporting through the appropriate channels. Developing enterprise compliance reporting for senior leaders! hip by coordinating routine and non-routine reporting with business and segment Compliance teams; Coordinating documentation of compliance across enterprise, segment and business compliance programs to support oversight and reporting. Leverage organizational knowledge and business acumen to develop effective virtual teams, leading through influence to successfully complete projects. Identify ethics and compliance issues and risks and escalate both concerns and potential solutions appropriately. Maintain appropriate project documentation. Respectfully and collaboratively challenge business areas to embrace compliance excellence by establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with business areas. Assist in the overall communication and implementation process of new state and federal legislation and regulation and other compliance-related requirements and assure that projects are completed according to established guidelines. Consult with internal auditors to en! sure that compliance issues are adequately addressed where appropriate.! Prepare presentations and reports to the Ethics and Compliance Program oversight committees concerning relevant compliance issues and developments. Research and stay current on emerging business and technology trends/issues/topics within the health care industry, the Blues System and the Minnesota market.

The candidate should have Bachelor ? ?s degree in business management or related field. J.D. degree or other advanced degree (i.e. Health Care Administration) preferred. Must have 8+ years of experience in health care industry with a strong understanding of health insurance business models or 12 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree. Should have 4 years of experience leading multiple cross-functional initiatives and projects simultaneously to drive change and achieve results. Creative problem solving skills, adapting approach as needed. Should have excellent relationship-building and communication skills, including strong written and presentation c! ommunication skills; demonstrated communication experience with diverse audiences and senior leadership.
