Snap Fitness, a worldwide franchisor of fast, convenient, and affordable fitness cent! ers, is seeking an attorney to join our growing legal department and support our continued success as Corporate Counsel / Staff Attorney. This is a rare in-house opportunity to join a very successful company in a small legal department where you can grow your career and make a significant impact on the company. The Corporate Counsel / Staff Attorney provides legal support and guidance on a broad range of general corporate, franchise, and commercial issues. He or she reports directly to the General Counsel and supports all business units and a growing portfolio of health and fitness brands.
The ideal candidate for this position is a licensed attorney in this state, has at least two years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, and has experience in one or more of the following areas: franchise, general contracts/commercial matters, real estate, trademarks, employment, marketing, and/or advertising. He or she can work in a fast-paced and challengin! g environment and can exercise sound business judgment to make! decisions and give advice regarding overall business objectives and the reward/risk of individual situations. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

-- Acts as a strategic partner to the business, providing sound and reasonable business and legal advice
-- Oversees and participates in negotiating, drafting, and executing all Company agreements including franchise, service, vendor, supply chain, technology, marketing, purchase, and sales agreements
-- Helps manage the internal legal function to provide strategic and practical advice and high-caliber and responsive legal services to the Company’s executives and business functions
-- Monitors and improves controls and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regul! ations, including franchise regulations
