Minimum Education/Work Experience
-- Bachelor's degree in related field
-- 7-10 years of progressive management experience in a healthcare operations environment
-- 5-7 years experience managing hospital and clinic revenue cycle operations
OR
-- An approved equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
-- Proven successful, progressively responsible leadership, management and execution
experience.
-- Exhibits a strong presence of command
-- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills

-- Epic Revenue Cycle Systems experience
Job Function
Develops Patient Financial Services strategies in collaboration with the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle. Directs hospital claims, follow-up and denials management, professional claims, follow-up and denial management, ambulance billing, dental billing, cash recognition and credit balance management. ! In addition, works with the Patient Access Services, HIM/Coding, CDM, Ambulatory leaders and staff, and the entire organization to improve collection across the organization.
Responsibilities include
-- Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide or support service,
assesses and improves department performance, and ensures orientation and
continuing education of department staff.
-- Develops specific objectives, budgets, and performance standards for each area
of responsibility. Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising
patient safety, quality of care of the services delivered.
-- Advises HCMC leadership on methods to optimize MCMC's use of EPIC.
-- Responsible for compliance with all applicable regulattions including Hospital
Attorney General Agreement, State of Minnesota Department of Revenue -
Revenue Recapture, and HCMC Admissions and Treatme! nt Policy.
-- Improve Revenue Cycle performance, efficiencies,! transparency, and employee
engagement through Lean Management methods including Visual Management
Systems and incorporate metrics driven outcomes throughout revenue cycle
