3M’s legal team has an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to support lawyers responsible for antitrust and privacy law matters globally. Position is located in Maplewood, MN. Be part of what’s next!
Scope of work involves, among other things, policy development and implementation, training programs, specific business projects, data management, possible investigation, litigation, regulatory or transaction support.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist attorneys with providing advice and developing processes in connection with company’s antitrust and privacy matters
- Perform legal/factual research on federal, state, and global antitrust and privacy matters
- Assist attorneys in developing website tools and programs for lawyers and clients
- Manage databases relat! ed to antitrust and privacy law
- Assist attorneys with! preparation of Hart-Scott-Rodino and other regulatory filings
- Perform litigation, investigation and claims-related activities as needed
- Act as direct contact for and/or interact with business clients, outside counsel, and international colleagues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Paralegal/legal assistant certification from an ABA-approved program
- Currently hold, or pursuing, a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience
- Antitrust or privacy law experience and/or a strong interest in Antitrust or privacy law
- Project management experience
- Litigation and/or regulatory experience
- Responsible, motivated individual with experience working with ! large and/or global organizations
- Strong written/oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- In-house corporate paralegal experience
- SharePoint experience a plus
- Must possess strong command of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, to manage multiple projects and to establish priorities
- Technologically savvy
