Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.
The Loan Servicing Specialist III within the Home Preservation FHLMC Settlement Mod Approval Department must be able to learn quickly, follow procedures, and excel in a fast-paced, changing environment.
They will be responsible for creating, imaging, shipping, and/or auditing modification documents on FHLMC files within company and investor guidelines.
This may include:
- Communicating errors, status, and information requests with underwriters, specialists, closers, and external vendors such as title companies and foreclosure attorneys
- Creating modification documents includes a very thorough and detailed review of loans, including running evaluation tools and understanding investor and program guidelines
- Auditing documents includes a detailed review of the information in the system and on the documents before they are reviewed by our quality control partners and shipped to the borrower
- Completing loan level research and providing summaries and responses to management inquiries and special project assignments
- Answering questions pertaining to areas of loan servicing including payment research, taxes, insurance, loan modifications, adjustable rate loans, and lien perfection
- Researching and analyzing problems and recommending solutions
- Conducting periodic audits of files and follow up on errors
6+ months experience in customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High degree of attention to detail and quality
- Proactive and timely communication to business partners
- Superior internal and external custom! er service skills, interpersonal and communication skills
- Stro! ng organizational and follow up skills
- Ability to work in a flexible and production oriented environment
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage daily production under deadlines and meet service level timeframes
Preferred Skills
- 3+ months previous Home Preservation experience
- Basic understanding of Settlement Mod Approval policies and procedures
- Ability to manage and provide and feedback on assigned projects
- Experience analyzing issues and generating solutions
- LPS Desktop system experience
- ERLMF/1HP workflow experience
- First Docs and Webtrack system experience
- Experience with the following applications: LIV, WPII, LM Workouts, Final Mod Tool/HPA
- Ability to work in an engaged team and small group setting
