Product Developer plays a key role in helping FindLawâs Strategic Development
group innovate the next generation of FindLaw products, services, and solut! ions
that help customers achieve their marketing goals. In this role, the Senior
Product Developer will be responsible for research and development into new
functionalities and capabilities, as well as the ongoing support and management
of Strategic Development web initiatives. The effective Senior Product
Developer will be fully aware of
emerging Web/Internet trends and technologies, including search engine
marketing, and will be able to communicate these to the Strategic Development
group as areas of opportunity. The Senior Product Developer needs to be highly creative and have strong
collaboration and communication skills.
This position
is responsible for designing and managing the creation of new client
development and direct-to-consumer products and enhancements for FindLaw.
The Sr. Product Developerâs responsibilities will be executed across a broad
range of FindLaw Strategic Development projects, includin! g FindLawâs
market-leading law firm Web site solutions; ! Search Engine Marketing services;
next generation Web marketing solutions and direct-to-consumer legal products.
Key Responsibilities
Individually
and as a member of project teams, generate and explore ideas for new products
and product enhancements for FindLaw.
Continuously
monitor trends in the Search Engine Optimization and Social landscapes against
the backdrop of Internet Legal Marketing.
Provide recommendations and develop
strategies for large scale SEO program development.
Make
recommendations for new business and strategic capabilities based off of
research as well as performance testing.
Work
closely with FindLaw Technology along with Strategic Development web developers
to create prototypes and proofs of concept that enable testing and validation
of new product and service ideas.
Participate
in or lead cross-functional product development teams to deliver! new features
and enhancements to FindLawâs products.
Work
with Product Management and the Operations group to transition projects from
proof-of-concept stage to go-to-market and full operationalization.
Contribute to
the generation and evaluation of new ideas for FindLaw products, services, and
capabilities.
Monitor
performance of deliverables to ensure sound performance, user acceptance, and
achievement of revenue targets (if applicable).

Minimum

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. MBA or JD,

years relevant experience
Very
strong underst! anding of Search Engine Optimization/Online Marketing and Social
Ne! tworking/Sites
Experience
with popular industry SEO tools
Prior
experience with Wordpress and other CMSâs
Ability
to lead and work well in cross-functional teams, including software engineers,
marketing, account management, sales operations, and finance.
Technical
aptitude - ability to understand and communicate technical issues
Proven
analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
