Key Responsibilities
Legal Research, Analysis and Writing:
- Research, draft, and edit documents to provide practical guidance on how best to accomplish specific legal tasks in designated practice areas and jurisdictions
- Leverage personal experience to help improve and expand practice area products.
- Adhere to aggressive editorial publishing schedules and deadlines
- Ensure the consistently superior quality of all content produ! ced
- J.D. degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school required
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills required
- Admission to state bar preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in one or more of the following practice areas preferred: Civil Litigation, Real Estate Transactions, or Business Transactions
- Law firm experience in one or more of the follow jurisdictions preferred: CA, IL, FL, NY, TX, PA, MA, MN, NJ, GA, & OH.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including close attention to detail, excellent grammar, and the ability to express complex legal issues in plain language
- Ability to consistently meet aggressive production deadlines while adhering to superior quality standards
- Experience using WestlawNext and other online legal research tools
- Personal knowledge of recent developments and emerging trends in the practice of law! within particular practice areas and jurisdictions
- Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal material
- Ability to prioritize tasks/projects effectively
- Ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all team members
