This flexible position is posted for the summer of 2013 and on an on-going need through partnership with local colleges and universities. This position is 18 months maximum in duration and is meant to match the academic schedules of the college and university students.

Location: 2701 Wells Fargo Way, Minneapolis, MN

The Operations Analyst 1 position will review mortgage collateral files to ensure accuracy and completeness; this position will work to resolve any issues or errors found. The candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical and research skills with high attention to detail and be a self starter who is able to work in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment.

They may occasionally act as a liaison between various internal groups and external partners such as attorneys, settlement companies, investors and custodians in order to obtain corrected or missing documents. This position ! will require communication via multiple sources (fax, phone, email and formal letter) with internal and external business partners.

Successful candidates should demonstrate skill in influencing and negotiating timelines; gaining commitments and overcoming objections with internal and external business partners. They should also demonstrate skill at recognizing trends and be able to make procurement decisions based on information provided and communicate procurement steps via written and verbal communication.

Operations Analyst 1 will be responsible for:

• Collateral procurement, review and preparation support
• Uses multiple systems for research and deficiency resolution
• May receive and review incoming work and contact appropriate resources as needed
• Researching, compiling, analyzing and reporting various quality and operational data from multiple sources, including unit production, productivity and/or quality sta! tistics.
• Under general supervision, creates and maintains data! bases, developing and performing queries both independently and at direction of management.
• May assist ongoing production and workflow improvement efforts; manage small projects and/or small segments of larger projects.
• May develop and implement policies, procedures and training materials to assure compliance with government regulations and to maximize efficiency and customer service.

Basic Qualifications

1+ years of operations experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to research and compile basic, operational data. Has basic reporting skills.

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's complian! ce policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
