Machine: Personal computer, laboratory equipment and instrumentation, facilities and mechncial equipment, shop tools and machines.
Physical Demands: Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on one’s feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping. Moderate physical effort (up to 30 pounds); must comply with applicable safety procedures.
Working Conditions: Possible exposure to infection from disease-bearing specimens; regularly exposed to the risk of blood-borne diseases; must comply with applicable safety procedures .
Vision Requirements: Far acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more; near acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; depth perception-ability to judge distance and space relationships; color vision-ability to distinguish and identify different! colors.
License/Certification/Education: Normally ! requires an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate technology w/5-6 years of experience with clinical laboratory equipment.
Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY Team lead for Biomedical Electronics Technicians. Ensures day-to-day activities of Biomedical Electronics are occurring in an orderly and efficient way. Troubleshoots existing equipment and researches new equipment for the laboratory and support services departments to enhance and improve equipment operation, process flow, and quality of our services. Makes recommendations to management and coordinates implementation of new and/or enhancements to existing equipment protocols, methodologies, and processes. Works on special projects in support of laboratory operations improvements as identified and prioritized by the Laboratory Managers and Directors.
