We are seeking a Full-Time Account Representative at our Corporate Office in St. Louis Park, MN.
The position communicates billing information with patients, carriers, co-workers and attorneys to ensure timely collections of accounts receivable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES:
- Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing the CDI Experience
- Communicates with patients, carriers, co-workers and a! ttorneys in a timely, effective manner to expedite the billing! and collection of accounts receivable
- Prioritizes work load, concentrating on “priority†work which will enhance bottom line results and achievement of the most important objectives
- Contributes to a team environment
- Exhibit good work ethic and productivity
- Contributes to the steady reduction of the days-sales-outstanding (DSO), increase monthly gross collections and increase percentage of collections
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
- Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple tasks, frequent interruptions, and details with accuracy
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time arrival to work as scheduled
- Ability to deliver high quality customer service to external and internal customers by communicating with knowledge and compassion
- Ability to resolve basic service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to next level
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing of work, and following assignments through to completion
- Skill with interpersonal relationships and ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and outside contacts
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of basic level computer skills including Windows based platforms
- Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a medical collection department
- Knowledge of Workers Co! mpensation, HMO’s, PPO’s, MA and other third party payors
- ! Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and friendly telephone voice
- Must have Microsoft Office experience
