primary objective of the Reference Attorney position is to provide
knowledgeable, efficient and courteous service to Thomson Reuters
customers. This is accomplished by
! assisting customers in finding relevant materials in Thomson Reuters products
with an emphasis on WestlawNext.
Reference Attorneys use their expertise in product and legal knowledge
to create search techniques that seek to maximize customer value.
Key Responsibilities
Answer
incoming calls from Thomson Reuters customers and field staff in order to
assist with developing appropriate search strategies for the retrieval of
relevant research materials for our customers.
Provide follow up as appropriate, including procedures such as reporting errors
and forwarding training and sales leads.
Reference Attorneys add value to the customer experience by explaining
and marketing existing product features, benefits, services and editorial
enhancements with a focus on WestlawNext. Reference Attorneys maintain records of
incoming and outgoing contacts with customers and report relevant customer
feedback. As appropriate! , Reference Attorneys act as a
liaison between our custome! rs and other Thomson Reuters departments.

Qualifications
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Juris
Doctorate degree and bar admission (any state) is required. Attorney license must be in good standing.
Candidates with prior legal experience are preferred. Experience in bankruptcy, intellectual
property, securities or tax is a plus.
Candidates must possess exce! llent customer service, communication and
training skills.
