Prospect Funding Partners LLC, a pre-settlement funding company located in Minnetonka, MN, is currently accepting applications for a Senior Underwriter. A Senior Underwriter’s job duties include the following:
1) Review initial intake forms from clients, attorneys, and/or brokers to ascertain facts relative to client’s case to ensure case meets Prospect’s underwriting guidelines.
2) Contact clients and attorneys by telephone to discuss case specifics.
3) Follow up with proper parties to secure case documentation pertinent to the underwriting process â€" medical records, insurance information, suit papers, etc. In cases of broker involvement, may solicit brokers for assistance in securing additional documentation from attorney’s office as needed.
4) Upon receipt of file materials, review all documentation, evaluate case, and make recommendations on amount to be purchased to Pricing Underwriting Committee.
5) Communicate funding approvals to clients and/or attorneys in follow up.
6) Review and handle any new or additional case information.
7) Assist Case Specialist in any follow up activity as needed.
8) Assist in mentoring junior underwriters as needed.
At Prospect Funding we underwrite cases within the following disciplines: auto, premise liability, FELA/maritime cases, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice, employment cases (whistleblower, discrimination, wrongful termination), commercial cases including patent infringement, etc. We fund cases in most states throughout the United States. Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of five years senior-level insurance claims knowledge inclusive of litigation experience. Multiple jurisdictional experience is a plus.
Candidates must be willing to assume the assignment on an independent contractor (temp-to-hire) basis for a minimum of 90 days. At successful conclusion, consideration will be given to permanency.
