Red Sea International Airport (RSI) is a sustainable gateway opening Saudi Arabia up to the world. Guests are guaranteed a seamless and luxurious journey as they arrive to and depart from their stay at The Red Sea or Amaala. RSI is pioneering a new operational approach to reduce the time spent completing the arrival or departure process. There will be no baggage claims area. Instead, luggage will be delivered to guests’ hotel rooms to shorten processing times.
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team in Saudi Arabia to work on our Red Sea Airport Project as an Associate Director. The person will be joining a team of like-minded professionals, ensuring that the project is managed to the right standards, and is completed efficiently and on time.
The successful candidate will lead/support Project Delivery, taking responsibility for successful delivery.
- Provide effective support to the Project Director, and guide and assist the project delivery teams.
- Capable to understand and administer contract, mitigate associated risks, understand claim avoidance and when necessary claim handling, from Construction point of view. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Management of project construction documents and keeping self and the team updated with the latest revisions of the construction specifications and drawings.
- Keeping the team updated on their tasks, priorities, ensuring the team stays on the same page and achieves more.
- Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by Project Management teams prior to issue.
- Ensure project is managed to the right standards and are completed efficiently and on time. Delivering excellent quality of finishes with an eye to detail.
- Manage the program, quality and the project cost.
- Develop strong relationships with Contractors and members of the cross-functional team.
- Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant information.
- Manage the delivery of Project Management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales HSE and quality standards.
- Coordinate and direct Contractors. Monitor materials and equipment and track inventory, Review the work progress on daily basis. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones, coordinate to obtain permits and licenses.
- Full responsibility for reporting and escalating nonconformities to PD and SPD.
- Responsible for the site safety by participating in creating, implementing, and securing the site safety plan.
- Responsible to ensure the Contractors are following the site safety plan in all HSE related activities on site.
Minimum Requirements
- 20-year experience in construction, having a contracting background is beneficial.
- Experience in delivering projects of similar nature.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and with excellent industry network.
- Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management / Construction / Civil Engineering Degree
- Working understanding of contracts.
