There is a position available for a Senior Project Manager in the Information Services Department in Dorseys Minneapolis office.Summary of Position Duties: Lead project teams to create or update custom applications. Lead project teams to install and customize vendor package solutions.Duties: A Dorsey Senior Project Manager has responsibilities in multiple disciplines: Project Management Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, ! and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsib! le for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.Business Process DefinitionResponsible for most complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation. Requires highest level understanding of organization's business systems and industry requirements. Focus is on process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams. Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.
At least 8 years IS experience including: 5 years project management experi! ence, 6 years project lead experience, 7 years development project experience, 5 years working with business to gather requirements â€" BA work; 5 years defining/performing testing activities.
